Ok so Christmas is around the corner and it’s time to go into panic mode! Unless you thought ahead then yay for you! However, here are a few fun things you can do for that last minute thing you forgot you needed a gift for!
1. The d.i.y. decor frame…all I did here was get a frame, mine is from Michaels, and some scrap book paper, also from Michaels. I created a simple little design with the words, “peace, love & family” and simply printed and taped the pieces together and placed it in the frame! Way easy and way cute!
2. The Candle…basically I found a candle that I liked (mine is from Michaels, Apple Cinnamon) and just peeled off the original tag that was on it and then just wrapped some hemp rope around the neck of the candle…I also added a charm and hang tag for an extra hand done quality, I wrote again the “peace, love & family” on the hang tag.
3. The Corn Bag…This one will require some extra effort. You will need a sewing machine, fabric of your choice, and clean feed corn. annnnnd just incase you didn’t know what a corn bag was, which is understandable, it is used to keep you warm. You can heat them up in the microwave and put them on your toes to keep them warm all winter, or a sore muscle to help the pain! They make really good gifts and last for a long time!
First you need to cut the fabric into the desired size, fold in half and sew three edges. Then you can add the feed corn, when pouring the corn you should keep in mind that you don’t need too much corn in there, don’t pack it tight. then sew the final edge up and you have a corn bag!
